Makayla’s love for dance began at age 3 in Miss Kim’s Intro to Dance class. She has continued studying dance for 12 years, taking classes in hiphop, lyrical, and ballet.

Prior to joining the staff, she was Miss Kim’s assistant. As a member & dance captain of KDC Company, Makayla has performed at a variety of venues, including Wells Fargo Center for Globetrotters opening, Thriller at Philadelphia Flyers and Six Flags DanceFest as well as numerous local parades and community events. Makayla is also  a varsity cheerleader at Overbrook High School and volunteers for several local organizations.

She plans to study Atmospheric Sciences & become a research meteorologist.

Makayla is very excited to share her passion for dance with her students at KDC!!
